I’m here - Patricia Apolo

Sung by - Patricia Apolo & Norvin Manalang

So here’s another original made by my sister!

I just helped in coming up with some of the chords, but she came up with all the lyrics and the flow of the song.

This was recorded at the studio on the same day we recorded Your Spirit is Strong.

I hope you like it and that it inspires you as it did for me :)

May God be praised!

Here’s a little sharing from my sister as well.

I’m Here - Patricia Apolo

I remember writing this song on that one rainy morning.
I was going through a tough time like many other adolescents who are in a lot of stress trying to find themselves.
Mine in particular was my lack of confidence in the very thing i loved doing most. It caused me to compare myself to others.
I had this Inferiority complex that was hard to shake to the point that you could even hear it oozing out as I sing.
I felt that i had this calling to fulfill; to finish this album and do more beyond but because of this inferiority complex, it all seemed impossible to me. i kept telling myself that I wasnt good enough; That my voice wasnt good enough, my writing wasnt good enough.
I felt alone cause no one knew this pain. i felt scared of how much a critic the world would be on this kid.
Then on that one rainy day, i just poured my heart out conversing with God; of my doubts, my struggle, my pain.
This song as i pictured it was a conversation with the one above. :)
It turned out that this song was the prettiest of the 7:))) hahaha
Listening back to it, I realized He’s taken me a long way since then.
there you have it.
May God be praised:)
I’m Here Lyrics
Verse:
In the sweet silence I wake up
To the voice in my heart,
calling me to you.
As I call out your name
I hear you say,
Yes my child I’m here with you.
“God to child” Verse:
Oh my sweet creation,
My dearest child.
I have been the one calling out to you.
Now that I’ve saved you
And you know my love,
Go out into the world.
Pre-Chorus:
And I ask myself, can I do this?
Am I strong enough
No I couldn’t be?
I’m afraid oh, Father!
But then I hear you say.
Chorus:
Don’t be afraid,
I’ll never leave you.
Have no fear
My Child I am here.
I will guide you through and through.
Lean on me when you’re down and weak,
For I will be your strength.
“God to child” Verse:
Pre-Chorus
Chorus
Interlude
Pre-Chorus
Chorus
Ending:
In the sweet silence
I wake up to the voice in my heart,
calling me to you.
